The Importance Of Garage Door & Opener Maintenance Service
Most people don’t normally think about servicing their garage door and opener until after something breaks. However, garage door & opener maintenance service is critical, not only for longevity and reduced overall cost due to fewer repairs, but for both security and safety reasons. An improperly adjusted system can injure, maim or even cause loss of life of you, your loved ones or visitors. A door that won’t close or opens when it shouldn’t leaves your property at risk of being stolen.

Here is a situation where an annual service call for $80.00 would have saved this customer $900.00!
The up “opening” and down “closing” force was set at 9 but, it should have been set at 3. That bent every panel. The incorrect settings would have been caught and fixed during an annual maintenance service call. The door I installed was a Clopay model #9130 steel back, insulated garage door with almond color and a 12.9 R value for insulation. In this case, I was trusted to make all decisions for the entire project. I picked out the almond color to replace the original bent white door, insulation value suggested that we also replace the spring hardware only. This saved the customer some money as we used his original rollers, hinges, track, tube, drums and cables.
